Minoxidil

It is a vasodilator that increases blood circulation to the hair follicles. Minoxidil is an FDA approved hair loss treatment.

It is available in 2 forms-a solution and foam. Both formulations are equally effective. The choice is made based on personal preference of application.

This medication is not used for sudden or patchy hair loss, unexplained hair loss, or hair loss after giving birth.

Results are visible after or from 12+ weeks of consistent usage.  Also, there are some side effects seen in some users. These include:

• Itching
• Allergic contact dermatitis
• Worsening of seborrheic dermatitis

Topical Minoxidil Fortified with Finasteride

Finasteride acts by reducing dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels, thereby inhibiting miniaturization of hair follicles in patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA).

Oral finasteride is associated with side effects such as decreased libido, sexual dysfunction, and gynecomastia, whereby topical Minoxidil Fortified with Finasteride is not seen to show any side effects.
